Nothing But Net explores the beauty of basketball, its balance of power and grace, and its artful improvisation within immutable structure. The work features a series of unique, hand-crafted basketball nets using a variety of materials and designs that explore form and function within the context of community sport. The materials chosen for each work function as basketball mesh but range in their longevity for withstanding play. In order to challenge stereotypes of masculinity and aggression within basketball, the nets use materials that are hard and soft, masculine and feminine, and organic and man-made. Some visually juxtapose opposite features, while others exaggerate singular, materialistic qualities.

Materials include items such as crystals, silk flowers, leather, lace, yarn, jersey, and artificial pearls.
